Dogs in the Philippines for adoption under PAWS
Hershey was picked up by a baranggay’s animal control facility, and was kept for four months, hoping they would find her owner. Unfortunately, no one turned up to claim her. She had a damaged left eye, but was otherwise healthy. Extremely shy at first, Hershey turned out to be a very sweet and loyal dog. She loves human company and is quite content just staying by your side while you work or read a book. Hershey is gentle enough to be around small children. A few days ago her damaged eye was finally cleaned out and stitched up - she is Hershey the One-Eyed Dog. Already spayed, she is ready to find her new forever-family.
Ely was rescued along with four other dogs in a trucking parking lot. They were a wild band of strays with severe mange (galis), very skinny, and living on scraps from garbage. Ely had no hair then, and had scabby wounds throughout his body. This was a year and a half ago, in March 2007. Today you would swear the Ely you see must be a different dog. He now has grown a soft beautiful brown coat and has gained a lot of weight. A small stubborn patch at the end of his tail refuses to grow any hair, though. Maybe to remind us all of his past and how far Ely has gone. Ely is approximately 7 years old, already neutered, and ready to go home with a new forever-family. His happy, friendly, and sweet disposition makes him a great canine companion.
HISTORY: Rescued in Paranaque by the
PAWS rescue team. Ely was one of four
dogs abandoned at a trucking lot. They were
bald, mangy, and emaciated at time of
rescue.

guardian can adopt Ely.
Piolo was rescued from a pound who reportedly did not regularly feed or water the dogs under their care. Indeed, Piolo was positively skeletal when he arrived at the shelter a month ago. Despite his emaciation, Piolo was the happiest, friendliest, and sweetest dog you could meet. He was happy to meet everyone and would play with anyone. His indomitable spirit made him an instant shelter favorite with volunteers and visitors. Though a new dog, he has already completed the necessary vaccinations and is ready for adoption. Piolo’s new forever-family would be very very lucky to have such a sweet dog.
Jerby was abandoned along with another dog by his former family, when the family had to leave the country and unable to take their dogs along with them. A PAWS shelter denizen since November 2007, he is considered by most PAWS volunteers to be the sweetest dog in the shelter. His companion was lucky to have been adopted already, a few months back. A lot of PAWS shelter adopters neglect to choose Jerby maybe because he is not as attractive as the other shelter dogs. But what Jerby lacks in appearance, he more than makes up for in heart. Already neutered, Jerby is ready to go home with a new forever-family who would be lucky to have this very sweet and loyal companion.

Need help for adoption of 2 labrador retrievers. Our family owns Bruno 8y/o and Diego 2 y/o. They were given so much love and attention, daily exercise like walking and running, balanced diet, regular visits to the vet, would be serenaded to, and wrestled with for play all of which were done for them when my brother was alive. He passed away last October 08. And we’ve tried to fill in the gap but even their dogfood could not be afforded any longer.
Need help from people with so much love, extra funds and time for them.

hi! can you help me please. I have a newly born puppy.. i am also looking for a society or somebody with a good heart to take care of her (puppy). Hi Ms. Luisa. Condolences on the passing of your brother. I’ve been looking for a shelter dog with very amiable temperament for my godchild (she’s now in college). I have goldens which she loves, as well as other dogs. But all are part of my family; I can not give any one of them away. I did give away a few months ago the puppies of our GR Yannu and aspin Ador (unplanned breeding). Unfortunately, by the time my godchild had advised me by SMS that she finally has her parents’ permission and blessings to own a large-breed dog, I had given away all the puppies, except for one that we decided to keep. Coming upon your search for an adoptive home for your brother’s labs is therefore perfect timing! I’ve known the parents of my godchild for at least 20 years now. They are responsible, caring adults. They have another boy, about 12 or 13 years old. If you still have your labs, I shall let them know and maybe you could meet them so you can screen them as an adoptive family? Please let me know. PAWS is a great help for those pets who are neither abandoned nor lost. They just don’t rescue but also care them well. It is nice to see that aside from rescue teams there a re also other filipino’s who arewilling to help.

January 18th, 2010 at 7:37 amHi! I am looking for someone to adopt my six-month-old askal, Bulilit. My dog had a litter of eight and no one wanted Bulilit because he was the runt. What he lacks in looks he makes up for in lambing. He is also suffering from Demodecosis and is undergoing treatment but I would have to give him up soon since my neighbors also have dogs and don’t want Napoleon near them. I live in a private compound so socializing among the dogs is inevitable and I’d hate to keep him in a cage. I want him to have a good home where he can be loved. Hi everyone!! I have 3 big golden retriever dogs. I thought about letting someone to adopt them but its kinda a hard for me to let them go cuz they are part of our family. I am having problems financially for buying their food cuz its a lot expensive. I would like to know someone who can donate a dog food for my dogs. Are there good people who can do that?
