It is really heartbreaking and mind bugling that a special someone is out there alone in the colds or under the heat of the sun or the pouring rain. I am sure your heart breaks when you see your dog inside the carrier or a dog bag while you are malling around. New year is fast approaching and we know the tradition right? and is noisy here and there sometimes as loud as an explosives or something that is not healthy for our dogs. Why? is it because the ears of the dogs can hear a whisper as loud as a normal tone to humans even on a far place they actually can hear it. So a normal volume for us human can mean 5 to 10 times louder for them.

Haven’t you notice that if a family member is about to come home a dog can sense it 5 minutes earlier the they arrived. That is because aside from their smell they can hear their master too is about to be home.

Basic Volunteer Requirements

  • Dr Dog volunteers must be over the age of 18 and have their own dog.
  • Volunteers must be committed to the programme and its aims.
  • Volunteers must have good “people skills” and an enthusiastic personality.
  • Volunteers must be willing to be a part of a team and enjoy meeting new people.
