If your dog just gave birth do not stop the diet that she is having during her pregnancy. As much as possible feed her three times a day and double than what she is indicated to have on the dog food allowance based on her breed, size and weight. Dogs need enough energy when they are breastfeeding because almost all the calcium and nutrients are passed on her litters. I am sure your vet will give her supplements such as calcium, vitamins C and D and do not self medicate, your vet will assess what they need and what they lack during their whining stage.
