Most dog owners including myself would ask if we should still continue our dogs daily vitamins even if they are pregnant or should we change it to the best prenatal vitamins for dogs, if there is such a vitamins for a pregnant dog? Some vets would recommend a calcium supplement but some do not, it is very confusing but it is best to ask fellow breeders and dog health enthusiast through forums along with your vets advice.

Most of the dog breeds that has a big head like pugs, english bulldogs, british bulldogs or super small breed like the chihuahua often times their whelping is done by a veterinarian at home or in the hospital. So dog owners of these breeds should be prepared on the bills because sometimes vets fee is by package or by puppy. So before your dogs due date all necessary things for birthing should be prepared already and expect even an extended service plan like if your pups needs a dewclaw, ear cropping or to be tail ducked.

We know all about the small breeds but the pocket dogs are smaller than the chihuahua and the princess type shih-tzu, it is cute but is it advisable? So how about their life span, does this mean that it also becomes shorter? I am really curious about it because the trending of some breeders in breeding pocket dogs are becoming popular and even appeared on some local news abroad. And the top 5 pocket dogs includes the Yorkshire terrier, shih-tzu, chihuahua, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Maltese I hope that the standard sized dogs will stay because they are naturally like that.
