Summer is near and actually we are experiencing it now, what do we need to prepare? a vacation for our dogs? NaaaaaaaaaH the most important thing to prepare is all about their health. Summer is the best time to get your dogs their annual vaccination, viruses and diseases usually occurs on a very hot weather. Next is keep their temperature normal all the time by bathing them atleast once a week, spray on them daily if possible, always be sure that a clean water is present, ice cubes or water cushions for them, groom their hair to avoid ticks, keep them shaded, ventilated and don’t ever leave them on an enclosed area like your car or in your room unless the aircon is on. Giving them all this things into action is more than its worth on bringing them to a Disney vacations or to any beach in the Phils, lolz!

If you are attending pet parties or costume parties and you want to bring your dog, style them up for a show up and everybody will notice and love them so much. I have a friend who did that and she even end up taking pictures for her dog and other people. Cool isn’t it?

Dog owners sometimes take this as cute as their dog or as serious as taking their time to correct their dog. Territorial markings is like a dog peeing on one place then another dog will pee on it too until the first dog smelled that hey this is not my pee and he’ll pee on it again. Well sometimes territorial marking happened not only in between dogs but also with human and dogs. For example you have a visitor at home, if not trained, your dog will pee on your couch or furniture just to say to your visitor hey this is not yours or sometimes they will pee on the person already, funny but it does happen.

Yes we human celebrate the holidays with a bang but be sure that our dogs celebrate the occasions with us, they also want some fun don’t you think so? You can dress them all up like a santa and if you have many of them why not make the others his elves ;). There are a lot of pet shops that are selling dog costumes and even online stores that has a wide array of styles and sizes. First and foremost you cannot make them eat our noche buena food most specially the ham! they will acquire scabies so beware!

In bathing a dog be sure that you use the right shampoo or soap on them, if not they might get allergies or sometimes they need medicated shampoo if the stink too much or scratch too much. Also if you plan to the bathing inside your bathroom, I hope your dog is only small to medium breed, make sure that your bathroom fixtures are suited for your dogs like the shower or the tub, I am sure you do not want to get them drown don’t you? so just level your water and adjust its temperature.
