This is one proof that a dog really cures people that is why they were tagged as doctor dogs. PAWS had this program Dr. Dog since 2007, I guess, it was introduced by Jill Robinson, the founder of Dr. Dog Program in Asia. Dogs visiting a hospital can lessen their burden more because as the Dr Dogs founder said the “Love is their medicine”.

I remember one incident that happened last year, a dog did not leave his master until the paramedics rescue him on the streets. The dog’s master suffered from a heat stroke and was pronounced dead upon arrival in the hospital.

Heat Stroke is common to every dog but the flat face dogs are more prone to this dog emergency. Flat face dogs such as bulldogs, boston terriers, frenchies, pekingese, pugs, etc are the first in line to have heat stroke. Some triggers could happen inside your closed car on a very sunny day, being outside on the hottest day, while getting groomed and the hair dryer is too close or too long on drying them, having no source of water or not in a shaded area.
