Canine hip dysplasia or CHD is basically a skeletal problem that is usually acquired on Labradors, German Shepherd and Golden Retrievers etc. This is an abnormal development of their hip joint where the femur’s head does not fit snugly into the pelvic socket. It was characterized by a shallow acetabulum or the cup of their hip joint and it changes its shape of the femoral head which is the ball of the hip joint.
