Did you know that like babies, dogs are also prone to sickness when the weather changes from time to time? Like for 3 days its hot then the weekend it is raining hard. That is why we should always keep our dogs clean and also their surroundings. They should be given nutritious food, clean water, proper exercise and supplements that are needed according to their breed, because not all breeds have the same hereditary sicknesses.

Well personally I am not practicing caging on my small breeds but only on my rotts. Well the basic things that a caged dog owner should know is they still have to have a life off the cage. But first getting a cage for them should be for their convenience, be sure that they can move inside, they are well ventilated and are accessible to clean water.

There are a lot of causes why dog acquire puss or a pimple like mark on their face and body. One cause is due to flea, dogs are kinda having an allergic reaction to the saliva of the flea and they are more prone to this during the summer. To know is you should have your dog tested to allergy to fleas so that the vet can give your dog the proper medication for it and so that the vet can give you your dog monthly maintenance such as frontiline, revolution, etc.

You may notice that during the hot season your dogs might suffer from a lot of skin diseases specially if they are not properly and well groomed. Bathing 2 to 3 times a week is necessary specially if your dog has a thick and or long coat. Tick and fleas powder might help but also be aware if it causes them redness such as allergies.

Usually what I do is to bathe them 2 to 3 times a week, trim their hair and sometimes if they get fleas and ticks I made the vet do the rest, lol! but for maintenance you should use frontline on a monthly basis. Next would be enough water within their reach, a cold cushion specially at night so they can have a good night sleep. Sometimes I also gave them ice cubes when it is too humid and hot for them.
