It is true that blindness do happens in dogs even by birth or gradually through a disease or an illness or is hereditary. Sometimes a gradually lost vision on our dogs are unnoticeable because of our dogs capability to adopt on situations such as that but as an owner, it is too depressing to know that but that does happen.

Here are the common causes of dog blindness:

  • Glaucoma in dogs
  • Retinal inflammation and infection
  • Retinal detachment
  • Corneal disease
  • Canine cataracts
  • Anterior and posterior uveitis
  • Optic nerve diseases
  • Diseases affecting occipital cortex
  • Injuries and eye tumors
  • Diabetes mellitus
  • High blood pressure
  • Eye infection
  • Strokes

Anything fat specially when they are still young is cute but that does not mean they are healthy and fit to do anything they want. And when they aged they will feel little by little a pain in their joints and bones. All of these will happen if you let your dog be obese, we love our dogs and we want what is the best for them but giving them everything is not what is the best for them. But owners let us always think what is the very best thing for us and our dogs, that is to stay and live with them for the longest possible time so make a healthy kind of living with them.

My Puppies got Scared! ooops.. 0

I have a 2 months going 3 months old puppies at home and it is their first time to hear loud sounds from the firecracker during the catholic tradition called “salubong” in our street. Even us humans were caught unknown most of the time when a firecracker explode. So the question is what should we, the owners, do every time a loud noise frightens our puppies and or dogs?
